Winter HAF

Our 2024 Winter Holiday, Activity, and Food program was once again a great success! We had a wonderful time engaging in winter crafts, baking, and, most importantly, enjoying the annual pantomime. Children's eyes lit up with excitement as they crafted snowflakes and ornaments, each creation a tiny masterpiece reflecting their creativity and imagination. The highlight, undoubtedly, was the pantomime, where talented performers brought classic tales to life with humour and flair, captivating audiences of all ages.

As we reflect on this year's program, we are filled with gratitude for the community spirit and camaraderie that made it all possible. We look forward to the next holiday season, eager to create even more magical experiences and heartwarming traditions together.

Poolsbrook & Duckmanton Youth

What a fantastic launch we've experienced this week at Duckmanton and Poolsbrook! We have seen an exceptional turnout of attendees, and we are incredibly proud to bring CDC youth provisions to these communities. We eagerly anticipate developing the club further to benefit local residents.

With enthusiastic participants already expressing strong interest, it’s evident that the program is poised to create a significant positive impact. The energy and excitement from both the youth and volunteers have been truly inspiring. As we progress, we aim to introduce a wide range of engaging activities and workshops that cater to the interests and needs of each community. From sports and arts to educational support and life skills development, the possibilities for growth and learning are limitless. We look forward to witnessing how the club evolves and fosters the talents and ambitions of our young members. Cheers to many more successful sessions and the creation of cherished memories!

On the 13th April 24, our CEO and Director (Dan and Grace) had the honour of meeting the Archbishop of Canterbury. During his visit to the Diocese of Derby, he made a stop at Saint Augustine in Chesterfield, Derby Road. Dan and Grace joined him in prayer for our community and our charity.

They prayed for:

  • Safety and good health to all the children we support.
